Why Roleplays in learning? Why does Clio works and reduce bullying?

Role playing is where we can reveal the deepest feelings to what we see, hear or experience. It is what helps us express values of compassion, generosity, gratitude, loyalty and nobility. It is what makes us more sensitive to the needs of others, what is essential for coexistence based on respect and cooperation since these experiences teach us from other points of view to solve problems together and assume responsibilities.

Role playing is narrative and reflective thinking. Narrative because a story is recreated and materialized through imaginary and sequential actions; reflective since it arises when the participant, with verbal and non-verbal actions, shows understanding of the situation.

That said, we can see that role-playing is a world, a culture, narrated by an imagination constructed by stories that deal with human values, roles, dramatic events, space, music and consecutive events. It is an aesthetic reaction between art and game. It is the manifestation of the sensitivity of emotions, what makes them authentic.

It is what allows us to reflect on real or imaginary situations, which allows us to feel interested in learning and respecting others and ourselves. It is essential for our learning and growth as humans. It is the emotional self-regulation of behavior, the communicative activity displayed, the reflective activity and the symbolic function. It is a psychological tool that allows us to develop imagination and creative capacity.

It develops our personality, specifically with regard to taking into account the perspective of the other, establishing emotional ties with others in communicative interaction, taking into account the effect of decisions on the other (moral reasoning). , building social ties and doing something for each other.

They are the vicissitudes of human intentions, the immediate, intuitive, the recognizable; the infinite in the possibilities of understanding and expressing various imaginary situations that arise to solve a problem creatively. It is what we understand, experience and express.

Role playing guides us towards the values and moral dilemmas of the other so that what is foreign begins to be our own. Well, in each game the representation of the role is intertwined between reality and fantasy, and this imaginative application allows us to understand human actions, the accumulation of experiences, and the reality of the other.

At Clio it works very well because we overcome bullying: with proper anger management, developing empathy, recognizing the rights of others, learning to listen and communicate, being tolerant of frustration and learning to ask for and receive help.

First: We measure socio-emotional skills and competencies (citizenship) per student.

Second: We find strengths and weaknesses in their socio-emotional (citizen) skills and competenciesper student.

Third: We deliver to the Wellness / Coexistence area a personalized report per student that will allow them to understand to the team why the student reacts, behaves, or with what processes they are most frustrated.
